7 Months Old

Our sweet boy turned 7 months old earlier this month.  He are some updates about what he's doing!

Not sure on his weight at this point- we don't have another doctors check-up until he is 9 months old.  He is wearing 6-9 month clothes and size 3 diapers.

my favorite ;)

Luke is sleeping through the night still.  He has only had one night where he woke up in the middle of the night.  We thought Amelia set the bar high- this guy is an awesome sleeper!  He takes a short 30min to 1 hour nap in the morning, a 2-3 hour nap in the afternoon, and sometimes a quick 20-30 minute cat nap in the evenings

Luke loves to eat! In addition to breastfeeding 4 times a day he gobbles up three meals of baby food- usually a fruit at breakfast, a veggie at lunch, and fruit/veggie depending on what else he had that day for dinner.  I'm making most of his baby food at this point- even green beans and peas! So far he has tried: sweet potatoes, peaches, plums, pears, apples, green beans, peas, squash, and bananas.  We don't think it will be long before he will be munching on soft diced up foods.  Luke demands to sit at the table with us for dinner - not in his high chair right next to the table but in Daddy's lap.  He will watch Daddy eat- carefully following the spoon/fork as it moves from the plate to the mouth.

-Sits up by himself

-Rolling all over the place!  He's a rolling machine.  As soon as you lay him on his back, he will roll over onto his tummy and scoot around.  He wants to move SOO bad. He will kick his legs and try to push himself forward with his legs.  Still hasn't figured out how to push up with his hands and get on his knees.  Won't be long though- he wants to get moving.
-LOVES his jumperoo.  He will still play in it for long stretches several times a day.

-Luke is such a happy baby.  He smiles all the time!  He smiles at everyone who will stop to talk to him.  He can be very serious but for the most part he all smiles.

he looks SOO serious here- made me think ahead a few years and dream about him playing baseball

Luke and the doggies

We have had a couple of cooler evenings- after a nice afternoon rain- where we spent some time after dinner in the backyard playing with our doggies.

Luke (7 months old) and Dino (6 months old)

Marcie is our fetching fanatic!  She even brought a ball and gently set it down by Luke. She waited patiently for Luke to throw it.

 so serious

 starting to get upset

oh boy- now I'm really upset!

 oh this is much better

 I'm loving the swing

More FUN with Daddy

Princess Amelia playing Daddy's wild version of Patty Cake

Mickey Mouse couch

We LOVE our Mickey Mouse couch.  Amelia loves to sit on it when she watches Mickey Mouse clubhouse.  The little couch makes a great place for taking a nap too!

also great for a brother/sister snuggle while watching a movie (usually Action Bible songs or Silly Songs)

Fun with Daddy

Just some fun times with Daddy . . .

Amelia told Daddy to lay down on the floor (usually she climbs all over him at that point), then she got all the blankets, pillows and animals and tucked Daddy in for a nap

she brought Daddy a night time story to read

Grammy Camp- Photo Shoot

To help with Grammy Camp- Grammy had brought up a teenage girl from her church- Jenica.  We were so glad she was there to help- it was crazy with 4 kids ages 4 and under!  Jenica and I created these matching shirts with each kid's name, a heart and Grammy Camp.  So it is supposed to read "Amelia 'heart' Grammy Camp".  It was a lot more work than we expected but the shirts turned out so cute!

It doesn't happen often enough that we have all the cousins together at one time- so we made sure to have a fun photo shoot with the kids!

SOOO hard to get them all looking and maybe smiling

Grammy Camp- Part 2

More pictures from our crazy fun time at Grammy Camp.

Sweet Luke- my little charmer

The only boy for the week- he did great!  Soaking up all the attention from Grammy and his cousins! LOVE this smile!

Play Zone- awesome place where you pay a small fee per child per hour to play.  Large table at one end for parents to hang out and chat while kids play- tons of things to play with for babies up through early elementary school age.  I really wish we had one of these where we live!

Amelia and Ada

Ada- would dive full force into the ball pit

Amelia LOVES to swing- she would of played on the swing the whole time if I had let her

After Play Zone we went for ice-cream- but Mommy didn't get any pictures of that.  We may have do a follow up post after getting some pictures from Grammy.

Grammy wanted the girls to put icing and sprinkles on their own cupcakes. As Grammy was giving instructions on what to do first- Abby was listening closely and following directions.  Ada and Amelia were eating the icing in big spoonfuls!  We got it under control and then moved on to the sprinkles before they devoured the cupcakes!

Wow- what a fun week!  We will definitely have to do this again :)
