Amelia's 3 Month Pics

Amelia's 3 month pics were actually taken when she was almost 4 months.  At first she would not smile for anything- but we finally were able to get her adorable smile!

My favorite!

I just love this one too- wonder why?!

Rolling and Sitting

Last week while I was making dinner Amelia rolled over by herself for the first time!  Trouble is, she did it when I wasn't looking.  She will roll up on either side and sorta move around the blanket with her toys but she's not rolling completely over much yet.  When she gets mad though she will arch her back and kick her legs which causes her to roll over onto her tummy and be even more mad. She generally still does not like tummy time too much- she will tolerate it for about 5-10 minutes and she's had it.

This is one of my many favorite outfits and everytime Amelia wears it she has a total blowout diaper. I don't think she has ever wore it a full day. I truly believe this outfit has been in the wash longer than it's been in her closet!

Look at the pretty flowers, Mommy!

The stairs in our living room are a perfect place to keep shoes for if we need to go outside for anything.  Otherwise I generally don't wear shoes in the house.  Amelia was given an adorable pair of white and pink size 1 tennis shoes.  I wanted her to at least wear them a few times before she outgrows them even though she doesn't really need shoes at this point.  She was not to sure about them (we are going to try again later)- and I set them on the stairs to carry back up to her room next time I went up.  Later after Dan got home I saw this and just thought it was cute- her little bitty shoes on the stairs in between our flip flops and sandals.

Our little sitter- I was sitting with Amelia in the grass and watching as she explored how it felt on her feet and in her hands.  I don't know why- but that was the first time we had ever sat her in the grass.  I was hoping to sit her up and steady her with my hand for a cute picture of her first real time in the grass.  Well she totally surprised me and sat up all by herself- no need to steady her :)  Now it's like overnight she wants to sit up all the time!

Coming soon- long overdue Amelia's professional 3 month pics (I don't know how to scan them so I'm waiting on Dan to show me) AND her 5 month pictures with the bear (a work in progress)!

Little Traveler

Last week Amelia and I set off for a week away with my best friend and Amelia's Grandparents. Amelia was such a great traveler!  The trip usually takes about 7 1/2 hours and it took us about 9 1/2 hours because I had to stop to feed Amelia twice.  She slept most of the time and when she was awake she played with the toys hanging on her car seat.

Glad to be out of her car seat!
My best friend Sabrina has an adorable almost two year old named Leah and now the newest addition . . .  Andrew John (3 weeks old).

I did a little photo shoot with Amelia and her new "boyfriend" Andrew.

I just love Amelia's expression here!

Leah (23 months), Amelia (4 1/2 months), and Andrew (3 weeks)
This picture took some time to finally get Leah and Amelia looking before Andrew woke up :)

Sabrina with her two adorable kiddos!

Leah gets very shy when holding Andrew- finally I was able to catch her smiling while holding her baby brother.

Although Leah wouldn't sit with me for a picture- I got Andrew and Amelia to cooperate.

This is Leah kissing Amelia.

Leah just loves Elmo so for her 2nd birthday, Dan and I got her an Elmo chair.  Although, for her parent's sake we didn't show Leah that the chair laughs and wiggles.

While there we had a girls night and well, this is what happened to poor little Andrew.

We took an outing to the mall- I'm sure we were a sight with a double stroller and a regular stroller.  The little ones were sacked out while Leah played.

Sabrina has a really nice camera and I tried getting some good shots of Amelia but she wasn't sure about the big camera in her face.

Check out all the drool- no little teeth yet though.

Finally a pretty grin :)

After a couple of days with the Cody family, Amelia and I headed to see Grandma and Grandpa Aleshire.  At first she was pretty unsure of Grandpa's beard and deep voice but she warmed up after about a day and was giving out smiles and laughs. Grandpa was so proud to show her off at church and was bragging about all his beautiful granddaughters. Somehow I missed getting a picture of Amelia with her Grandpa though.

"I've had it with tummy time!"
Grandma rocking Amelia at church- the church people thought it was funny that Amelia got fussy right when her Grandpa started preaching :)

The morning we left Amelia was pretty fussy- she was having such a good time with her Grandma and Grandpa and she didn't want to leave.

Walking and Consignment Shopping

The weather here has been at record highs in the upper 90's for the past several weeks.  Amelia and I have stayed indoors until later in the evening.  After dinner we usually take a walk with Daddy and our dogs around the neighborhood.  Amelia just loves to ride in the stroller!

Serious Face

Silly Face :)

Getting kisses from Rocket- he is so sweet with her!

Rocket and Marcie

Our local consignment sale was the first week of August- I volunteered to work and was able to get in to shop early before it opened to the public.  It was so worth it because we found this . . .

This end has a wheel and the blue climbing up wall

House part with table, phone, and slide

Amelia won't be able to use it until next spring when she is walking but we just couldn't pass up this incredible deal.  We looked it up online and a brand new one just like this was $589 and we got it for well under $100!  Right now it sits in our garage- we plan to put a big bow on it and "give" it to Amelia for Christmas or her first birthday.

We also got Amelia a few clothes, a Halloween costume (pictures to come around Halloween) and this jumperoo-

A jumperoo is like a jumper and a exersaucer combined.  We knew Amelia would love to bounce so this was a great combination!  She still has to grow into it but she already loves it!  Look closely, you can see we have to put a pillow under her feet for now :)

She looks a little unsure here but that was when she was first put in the jumperoo. Now as soon as we put her in she will move the toys around, bounce a little, and talk to the toys. She is just starting to figure out that she can jump in it- but she loves it when I make it bounce up and down for her!
