3 Months Old

Luke is now 3 months old!  It seems like time is flying by so much faster with him than it did with Amelia.  Luke is such an awesome little guy- a very easy going baby for the most part.  He loves to play on the play mat and still doesn't mind tummy time.  He is cooing and smiling so much more now- occasionally I will even hear a chuckle. We must be pretty funny to him. He likes watching Amelia although he's not too sure when she tries to 'hug' him.

He is eating every 3 to 3.5 hours during the day and is sleeping through the night.  His bedtime feeding is around 8:30 or 9:00 and he typically sleeps until around 8:00am.  I just moved him from the bassinet in our room to his own crib.  We also transitioned him from using a swaddle blanket to just a sleep sack- he was wriggling out of the swaddle blanket (it was a little big on him but the smaller size was too small). He does not yet have a regular sleep pattern for napping during the day- that is what we are trying to work on now.

No doctor visit this month so I am not sure how much he weighs but he is definitely growing like crazy!  He has officially maxed out his 0-3 month clothes and he fits well in the 3-6 month clothes.

This little guy is a snuggler!  His favorite spot- right up on your shoulder where his head can be just under the edge of your face.  Just pat his back and this guy will be out for the count!

Amelia wanted to get in on the photo shoot

enough pictures!

after some snuggle time- back to some sweet smiles

Look Who's Smiling!

Oh can this little guy be any cuter!  He has been smiling here and there for a couple of weeks now- but just a couple of days ago he gave me these awesome smiles over and over again.  I kept taking pictures because every time I would take one he would just smile again.  I must have like 30 pictures of this chubby cheek smile!

Amelia wasn't too sure about Luke getting all the attention so she climbed up into the action

Easter morning

The bunny found us! My niece Abby told me that her mom had e-mailed the Easter bunny and he wasn't supposed to make a mess at our house like he did at their house last year.  Well I guess the Easter bunny didn't listen . . .

As Amelia, Abby and Ada came downstairs in the morning- Abby just couldn't believe the Easter bunny had left a mess at my house too.  Amelia kept saying "wow'!

I just love his expression here!

Peeps!  After just one bite Amelia said, "I like peeps!"

Love these two more than words can express!

my favorite picture of the 3 of them :)

Amelia has started to make this face whenever you say "smile".

this is the natural smile I love- Daddy was behind me making her laugh

Minnie Mouse Birthday Party

Amelia's Minnie Mouse birthday party had to be moved back one week since we had to travel to Florida for a funeral.  Unfortunately some of the families we invited could not come since we changed the date but we had fun with the ones that were able to come.  I reserved a pavilion at Imagination Station- cool name, huh.  This is an awesome playground!  It's wooden with a castle like feel- lots of slides, tires to climb over, swings, look out towers, etc.  There is also a couple of train cars to explore and big open grassy areas to run and play. We enjoyed pizza and Chick-fil-A chicken nuggets and then the kids all went down to play on the playground.  The weather couldn't of been more perfect- a high of 76 for the day- absolutely gorgeous!

hard to see all the letters- but I sure had fun making this banner with my new cricut machine

 Mickey and Minnie mouse cupcakes

a friend from church (April Bottoms) made these awesome cupcakes!

I made these fun Mickey Mouse Rice Krispy treats on a stick- dipped in chocolate :)

Happy Birthday to you!  Happy Birthday to you!  Happy Birthday sweet Amelia, Happy Birthday to you!

the kids were soo ready for cupcakes

Luke hung out in the stroller at the pavilion with Mommy- too many people kept trying to come up and use the tables when we had the place reserved so we had to guard the place

Amelia barely sat still the whole evening!  She loved being able to run and play with the 'big kids'.  She just ran and ran and played- so I didn't get many good pictures of her.  My sweet birthday girl was having the best time and Mommy will never forget her happy little face that whole night :)

Cousins!

Our nieces Abby and Ada (and their parents of course) came to spend Easter weekend with us.  It worked out so special because they got to be a part of Amelia's birthday party.  We also went to an Easter Egg hunt that a local church put on for free at some ball fields.

sweet girls- Amelia, Ada and Abby  (we took several of these and didn't get one where they were all looking and smiling)

love the faces here- I kept saying "smile" and that is what Amelia was attempting to do; Ada is busy watching the Toddler Tunes and Abby is really cheesing it!

here Amelia is looking mad but Ada and Abby are smiling

Amelia said "I give Luke kiss"- Luke wasn't too thrilled about this :)

Daddy and Amelia getting ready for Easter Egg hunt

 and she's off

not sure about her strategy- she passed over many eggs and only picked up certain ones

then she tried opening each one- there was nothing inside- we turned in the eggs at the end for candy

Abby and Ada have this egg hunting business down- Amelia not so much :)

found 1 prize egg- got a purple flower

she was so afraid at first . . .

but after we got down she ran to get back on and said "mo more"- this time Daddy wanted to go with her

yep- we are those parents that try to get a picture of their kid with the Easter bunny when she's afraid

now that they're walking away- she's happy
