Amelia is trying to crawl and move so badly! She scoots around on her bottom by sort of bouncing on her bottom. Amelia will start out on her back, roll to her belly, and then push her self up into a sitting position. This past week she figured out how to get into the "crawl position" from sitting up. Then she will either rock back and forth, push herself backwards, and/or fall on her belly. She is almost got the crawling thing . . . almost.
Started out in the middle of the blanket
Pushing herself backwards
and now she pushed herself backwards off the blanket
Daddy left the Wii remote on the floor
I like to throw my toys now . . . then if I can reach them I will lean forward and stretch out my hand to grab them again. One of her favorites toys right now is the Little People Noah's Ark- especially the birds and giraffe's (we think it's because they are more fun to chew on).
Check out how she crosses her ankles-she does this every time she is sitting and it's just so cute. I just had point this out and document it so years from now I will remember. :)
Look at me . . . I'm getting my first tooth!

Halloween Fun
This year Dan and I looked forward to being home for Halloween for a change. The past several years I have been in charge of fall festivals and it was always kinda stressful making sure all the details fell into place. This year we relaxed at home, carved our pumpkin, and had candy ready for trick-or-treaters. Even though we didn't have plans to go anywhere, I couldn't resist getting Amelia a great costume at our local consignment sale. We had a whole rack of adorable choices and this is what we ended up with . . .
Dan's work always has a fun and pretty competitive costume contest. Even though the past few years he has had great costumes he has not won. Well this year we came across a very creative idea and Dan WON "Most Original" !!
