Christmas photo shoot

Amelia has several really cute Christmas outfits and I attempted to get some pictures of her in front of our Christmas tree for our Christmas card this year.  After one really long day I have these few that turned out pretty good!

Snow Cute

Last weekend we had our first snow of the season!  Daddy was out of town on a business trip and disappointed to miss the snow but it only ended up being a dusting. We don't get snow very often but we are hoping for one good snow to build a snowman.

 Look Mommy, snow!

Amelia is very observant- she notices every little detail.  There was a little bit of snow falling- she was checking it all out.

Grandpa's birthday

I'm a little behind on the blog so bear with me while I catch back up.  A couple of weeks ago it was my Dad's birthday and we haven't seen Grandma and Grandpa since our camping trip in September.  So Amelia wanted to send her grandpa a special note. (I now wish I had thought of this for our other parents birthdays- sorry Grandma, Grammy and Papa).

"I miss my Grandpa"

Getting into Everything!

This face captures the excitement of my new little explorer so well!

Now that Amelia is crawling she is exploring every inch of our house!  I thought I had things pretty well baby proofed but obviously not.  Amelia seems to find something each day to get into :)

Partners in crime:  Amelia would grab a handful of dog food and throw it- Lily would eat it.

Amelia now loves to pull up on everything- these couple of stairs go up into the dining room/kitchen.

The baby gate is to keep the dogs from coming down where all her toys are.  The dogs like to stick their heads through the spindles (see Rocket below) and Amelia will just look up at them and giggle.

Of course the Christmas tree provides lots of entertainment.

It's blurry- but it's hard to catch a clear picture of Amelia when she is constantly moving.  We put wooden ornaments and these plastic snowflakes around the bottom of the tree for Amelia to play with.

First Christmas package- from Great Grandma Murfin.  Amelia was more interested in the newspaper at first.

When the presents were pulled out she immediately went for the bow.  I stuck it on her head and then she proceeded to try to tear the wrapping paper.  This girl is a natural! We aren't going to have any problems Christmas morning!

Yummy Finger foods

Amelia has finally gotten the hang of eating finger foods.

Although you can see the "puffs" get everywhere . . . eventually most of them do make it to her mouth :)

Oh Christmas tree, Oh Christmas tree

This year we bundled up like usual and headed over to Signal Mountain to a great Christmas tree lot.  Surprisingly we have only seen one other tree lot in this whole area!  Our space is a bit more limited this year with all the little toys and baby things so we picked out a great "skinnier" tree.  (I personally love the big fat ones)

This was Amelia's first time really being bundled up with a hat and gloves.

 This is "the one!"

Amelia absolutely loved loved loved the lights!  She could not get enough of them.  She would grab them in her hands and shake her hands up and down in excitement.  She was so excited and moving so much it was really hard to get a good picture.

Here she is doing her high pitched squealing

Pretty lights

Ornaments to come another day . . . picture of finished tree coming soon.

Beach girl

At the end of our vacation we spent a couple of day's with my Grandma and Grandpa who live just a couple of miles from the beach!  This was Amelia's first time at the beach- I thought she wouldn't like the sand too much but she surprised me and absolutely loved playing in it!  I see a sandbox in the backyard in her future :)

so much playing in the sand and water wears a little baby girl out

What a great time we had with Great Grandma and Great Grandpa!

On the way home- Amelia got tired of riding in her car seat and wanted to drive with Daddy . . .

Look at that smile- we had so much fun in Florida but we were so ready to go home
