Thomas family at Disney- Part 2

The next day we headed to my favorite Disney park- Magic Kingdom.  Dan and I wanted to spend the whole day and see as much as we could!  We ended up heading out mid morning with Amelia, Grammy and Abby.

We caught the end of a "show" in front of Cinderella's castle with all the characters and princesses.  They all waved as they left and Abby waved back!

Then it was onto our first ride: It's a Small World!  On the way there we stopped for a fun photo opportunity.

Onto It's a Small World-  the kids did great standing in line!  Abby was a bit unsure at first but then she was just in awe- taking everything in.  I can't wait until Amelia is this age.

After a yummy pizza lunch we met up with my sister in law- Chrissie and my other niece Ada.  We decided to ride Dumbo!  Let me just say- that was an awful long wait for such a short short 'flight'.  Probably won't be doing that one again.

After that Dan and I headed off with Amelia to ride Pirates of the Caribbean, The Haunted Mansion, and Buzz Lightyear.

The Buzz Lightyear ride was pretty awesome.  You sit in a moving car with a laser gun attached to the front.  As you go through the ride there are targets (the Zurg symbol on a circle) that you shoot.  You get points for how many targets you get.  Amelia even tried to get in on the action- she was watching Daddy have some much fun towards the end she tried to grab the gun.

 

We met back up with Grammy, Chrissie and the girls and had a yummy cheese burger dinner.  Chrissie's girls were sacked out and  Amelia was tired and whining, but we took it all in stride.

Dan and I stayed for the night parade and the fireworks.  What an incredible fireworks show! What an incredible day!  And we found Amelia a Minnie Mouse toy to remember her 1st time at Disney (which we know she won't really remember but it was fun anyway).
