Strawberry Picking

Back in May- we head about a local farm that had U-Pick fresh strawberries.  We headed out one Saturday morning and picked a bunch!  We ate almost half of what we picked that day and luckily I had washed the rest and already put them in the freezer or they would of probably been eaten as well :)

ready to pick- she had her OWN basket and didn't want us helping her fill HER basket

After a brief lesson on which strawberries to pick- she did awesome!

Luke even "helped"

check out how full her basket is getting- she did it all by herself :)

so proud of her basket full

Luke was excited too

as usual, everything goes in his mouth

he is going in for more :)

he was really enjoying this strawberry

hard to explain to a 16 month old that your not supposed to eat them until after we pay for them :)

Amelia's practice recital

Amelia had the opportunity to do a practice of her dance routine at an outdoor venue- after her turn was up we walked through the blocked off street that held craft and some food vendors and headed down to the kids area where they had several large blow-ups.  Amelia loved going down the big slide!

They asked the kids to wear their t-shirts instead of costume since it was so hot- Amelia is the second from the left in the picture

Amelia has her arm up in the air- she is actually following the routine- she stayed focused for the whole routine :)  We were so proud of her- performing up there for the first time!

Luke enjoying the shade

Dan was allowed to go with her on most of the blow-ups for free

sweet Luke

Here are a few pictures of my sweet boy- from May 2013.  Whenever we would go out to play with our spring litter of puppies- Luke always ended up standing in their water bowl.  Which means I always has to clean out the puppies water.

working "the lip"

oh man . . he is working it good

and now he is really upset- Mommy couldn't resist any longer

Grandpa's graduation

The kids and I went to see Grandma and Grandpa for Grandpa's big graduation from Seminary.  He got a ThM (I think it called a Master's of Theology)- which is a step higher than a regular Masters degree.  We had a great time visiting with Great Grandma and Great Grandpa that came up for the graduation as well.

had to wait until the very very end of graduation for Dad to walk- the highest degrees go at the end.  Luke did alright- we walked around at the back and had lots of yogurt melts waiting for Grandpa's turn

the big moment
