- LOVES shoes and books;
This is what I do all day- lay books on my lap and "read" them to Amelia; she loves this color book and can point to the correct animal/object when asked
She also likes to "smell" the scratch and sniff books- we have two in particular and she knows exactly where to scratch and were to put her nose/mouth to sniff- not sure if she is actually smelling but it's really cute to see her do it :)
-Starting to get the hang of puzzles- at least this duckie piece!
-loves to climb- on things, off things, over and over again
just figured out how to climb up on the hearth
- Breakfast: toddler yogurt and a waffle OR oatmeal mixed with a little baby food fruit
- Lunch: almost 1/2 a sandwich or mac-n-cheese with assorted fresh fruit (peaches, strawberries, blueberries, banana, mandarin oranges, etc) and a baby food veggie
- Snack: apple cinnamon cheerios OR goldfish OR vanilla wafers OR fruit
- Dinner: Jar of Stage 3 meal OR pasta pickups and tidbits of whatever we are having (trying to transition her over to just eating what we are eating)

playing with a dog toy- she thought it was fun to splash it in the dogs pool
- Sleeping: The past couple of weeks Amelia has been sleeping in really late! She goes to bed around 8:00 and typically gets up by 7:30 but lately she is sleeping until 9:00 or even 10:00! Must be some growth spurt! We are still phasing out the morning nap. Some days she will need it and I make sure it is only about an hour or so nap to make sure she still gets that much needed 2hr afternoon nap
-She is also getting in 4 new teeth- 2 on top and 2 on bottom about halfway back.
water fun with duckie
-New words: ball, said Momma once, most things are still "di"- she will point and say "di" and we have to figure out what exactly she wants; she has slowed down in saying words this month- we try to get her to say words she has already said (like puppy, doggie, kitty or cat, duckie) and usually she just looks at us like we are silly
-She does seem to be trying to communicate more- constantly babbling and pointing at things. She will often copy the number of syllables of what we are trying to get her to say just not with the right sounds. For example- we were saying "I Love You" to her and she would say "ba di di" in the same tone were were saying I Love You. Once she starts really talking I think we are going to have our ears talked off!
-Starting to "help" put away her toys (has been doing this in the tub for awhile so we are trying to get her to clean up in the playroom/family room and she is starting to get it!)
fell in lego wagon and couldn't get out!
-enjoys drinking out of a straw (we have a special sippy cup with a straw that I give her every now and then for a special treat-the only time she gets diluted juice :)
-is using the "all done" hand sign in other situations besides eating- whenever she wants to change something; like at the end of her bath she will on her own use the "all done" hand sign, if we are outside playing with something and she wants to switch to something else she will use the "all done" hand sign
poor Lily
-figured out how to push "play" on the CD player in the living room (it has a toddler CD in it)
-lately she has been wanting to swing in the baby swing- only for a minute or two but it's been like 3 or 4 times a day (now that the little baby I babysit doesn't need the swing anymore- I moved it into the garage!)
