Daddy's new ride

It's official- Dan is going to be off his foot for 6-8 weeks.  He has a nice boot now- Amelia calls it a "shoe". He broke the outside bone on his left foot and it apparently is in a spot that is very slow to heal.  Luckily, the doctor prescribed him this cool scooter to help him get around. It has come in so handy at work and when we go out to eat or shopping. 

The part where he is sitting in the picture is where he rests his knee- then he is able to use this other leg to push and get around where ever he needs. It's way easier than crutches and he is able to carry something- like a drink, a plate of food, or Amelia :)  When trying to get up or down stairs- he still has to use crutches though.  We are praying the break is healing- if not the doctor said he would have to have surgery and start the process again {6-8 weeks completely off the foot; then another 6-8 weeks slowly starting to walk with the boot}.  That would end up being very close to baby boy's arrival!  So we are praying for strong bones that will heal quickly!
