1st Road Trip to Uncle Willie's Graduation

This past weekend we took Amelia to meet her Uncle Willie (Elizabeth's younger brother).  Uncle Willie was graduating from Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte, NC.  He graduated magna cum laude with an Associate of Applied Science in Baking & Pastry Arts.  He is staying on another year to get a Bachelors in Food Service Management. We had a great time hanging out with family- just not long enough :(

This was also Amelia's first big road trip.  Dan and I had high hopes for Amelia to be a good little traveler since we both like to travel.  Here she is- ready to go!

Amelia started out great- sleeping!

But . . . she woke up in the bumper to bumper traffic in the Atlanta area.  She generally will not take a pacifier but I kept trying to reach my arm back and get her to take it to calm her down.  We eventually got through Atlanta and stopped for dinner.  We discovered Amelia is spoiled rotten- I sat in the back with her after we all ate and she was fine the rest of the trip!  On the way back, after a short nap and some crying I moved to the back seat again and ending up staying there the whole trip!  At least it kept her from crying.

My parents were not only excited to see their son graduate but also to get to hold and cuddle their granddaughter. Amelia just loves her Grandma and Grandpa!
