It's been pretty crazy the past few weeks so I'm doing a combined 18 and 19 month update!
What Amelia has been up to lately:
-taking off her clothes! She loves to take off her socks, shoes, and her pants. She is getting really good at putting her pants back on but the socks are still tricky.
-favorite toys: definitely baby dolls and the stroller; her Little People Farm animals, phones (remote controls, play phones, lots of things become phones that she will hold up to her ear and have little 'conversations'), food and dishes with her little kitchen
Little messes: she was trying to get a snack of cheerios and dumped out bag on the floor (luckily it was almost all gone). Rocket assisted in the clean up efforts :)
-Eating: pretty much eating by herself all the time now- she still does better with a fork but she is really doing well using a spoon with her yogurt or applesauce -without making a huge mess :)
-Favorite foods right now: yogurt, eggs, mac n cheese,Chick-fil-a chicken nuggets, Chicken Piccata, any pasta, cheese (string cheese especially!)
-New words: poo poo, pee pee, using the sign for potty (can you tell we are preparing for potty training!), tee (for her tent), shoe-ee- for when she has a stinky diaper, baa baa (sheep sound), pa- for paci, Da ci- her word for our dog Daisy, pee-a (trying to say P. J's), ba ba- belly button, pee (can mean pumpkin, pizza, pants), yes, O (for hello), hi (usually it's hi, hi, hi), bub bub- bubbles,
-now says her name- sounds like "bee ah"
-Little helper- not so much right now. She seems to be going through a phase where when I ask her to help clean up or help do something she runs the other way!
-favorite thing to do- push the dinning room chair up to the counters in the kitchen. Usually she first goes to the counter by the fridge and opens the silverware drawer. She loves to play in the silverware leaving the drawer a complete disaster. Lately she realized she can reach the chips which I tried to hide in the corner or our L shaped kitchen.
-loves to drink from Mommy and Daddy's straw cups (I received one at a women's event and loved it so much I bought one I found at the store. Amelia LOVES to drink from them- she will go to great lengths to reach them and has a little fit if I tell her no.
little things to remember: Amelia walking around in Mommy's shoes carrying a tissue- this girl loves tissues/wipes/paper towels- anything to clean her face and other things with :)
-loves to wear her tutu- over any clothes; sometimes she will take off her pants and wear the tutu instead
-has definitely been Mommy's girl lately (she has cried the past 2 or 3 times when I drop her off at church nursery and 2 times with our regular babysitter while we are taking the Bradley classes- this is soo not like her! Mommy has a hard time leaving when she cries because she always has done so well previously)
