Merry Christmas!
What a great time we had celebrating the birth of our Savior and Lord! Amelia loved having all her grandparents around- at first she kept looking back and forth between them all. Even though they were all worried about it being too much work for me, it ended up being such a fun and relaxing weekend! Everyone pitched in to help with Amelia and with the meals and cleaning. Amelia learned to say 'santa' and "ho, ho, ho". Although she usually only said one "ho". She was such a ham with all her grandparents attention- let's just say she was spoiled BIG TIME. The morning after Christmas she woke up very late and sort of needy- she just laid her head on my shoulder for about an hour before she really started to get going. She had gone full force the day before so we think she just absolutely wore herself out!
Amelia's face first thing Christmas morning- seeing the Christmas tree and all the presents
Christmas morning- 2011
This present was just the right height- she kept sitting on it until it was opened
noticing Mickey Mouse wrapping paper (she says "mimi mouse" now for Mickey or Minnie Mouse)
Mommy and Amelia eating Daddy's famous blueberry french toast
opening stockings
Amelia got a large lollipop that she really wanted to eat right then
Amelia was so incredibly cute- Daddy would hand her a present and say take this to whoever it went to- she would carry it to them and then rip off the bow; then she carried the bow over to Grammy who collected them in a bag; sometimes Amelia would try to help the person tear off the paper; she would clap and say "yeah" when the present was open; she did this ALL morning- we all thought it wouldn't last long but she loved every minute of it!
Daddy helping open a present- Amelia was very particular about throwing away the paper and making sure the bow went in the bag next to Grammy
opening new baby doll- this girl LOVES her baby dolls
patiently waiting for Daddy to take out her new "Ay Bee"- her word for airplane
Amelia opened an outfit from Grammy- she then handed it to her Daddy and immediately laid down so he could put on her new pants and shirt set (it said "Daddy's Little Elf")
opening new pretend food from Grandma and Grandpa
playing in box and enjoying bubble wrap
found Mommy and Daddy's stockings- put them on her feet like socks
trying to walk in the 'socks' as she called them
opening little couch from Grandma and Grandpa
trying out her new couch
Santa brought her a big girl tricycle!
