Water fun on a hot day

We have had some record high heats over the past couple of weeks so one day after lunch I got the girls ready and we spent some time splashing around in the water.

Amelia wasn't too crazy about sitting in the water at all!  She was up and moving the whole time.  Luckily rubbery duckey helped keep her playing in the pool area instead of walking all over the yard. 

Then she found Mommy's shoes- this girl LOVES shoes!

this seemed to be what she wanted to do more than anything . . . just walk all over the yard

Baylee played so happily and my child kept wanting to wander all over the yard and trying to take her hat off!

Amelia finally played in the little pool with Baylee- it was short but she did sit and play.  These sweet girls are such good buddies!

Amelia- 13 months; Baylee- 7 months

Hopefully Amelia will grow to love playing outside in the water.  As much as she loves bath time and splashing in the dog's water bowl when we are not looking I thought she would love the water play area. Summer has only just begun so we will see!
